Coming Soon…

“Jenny” is the tale of a family who rent a house in the Cape Breton countryside for a summer getaway, but get more than they bargain for when a mysterious young stranger appears, looking to make friends.

Writer/ Director

Tom Ryan Jr. was born and raised in Inverness. He is an award winning author of several books for young readers, including the International Thriller Award nominee Keep This to Yourself. He also has an extensive background in film, most notably his 2007 stop-motion animation “A Cape Breton Ghost Story” which played in competition at several international festivals. Tom and his husband and their dog divide their time between Ontario and their probably haunted farmhouse in Cape Breton.

Cape Breton Film is thrilled to announce that we have chosen the cast for our upcoming film “Jenny”! Let’s have a big round of applause for Natasha MacLellan, Rachel Beaton, Kharis Boyd and Frances Brennan!

We’d also like to send out a huge thank you to everyone who took the time to audition. We had more interest in our film than we ever expected, and the talent on display was absolutely incredible. We hope you will all stay tuned for more opportunities with Cape Breton Film in the future!
